PAM4, which is gaining popularity due to its ability to solve serial-data bandwidth problems, has so far been shown to transmit data at rates of 56 Gbps with 112 Gbps in the future outlook.
At The DesignCon Technical Conference that took place recently, the fastest PAM4 signal that ever has been created was explained. The team behind it, engineers from Nokia Bell Labs, managed to achieve a PAM4 signal at 195 Gbaud.
