MATsolutions recently joined the Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC). The MTBC was created to strengthen the North Texas’ technology community and its reputation by acting as an innovation center for entrepreneurs, universities and corporations.
"We are pleased to be part of this technology-focused organization," says Steve Wedler, MATsolutions VP Sales and Marketing. "The Council has created a world-class technology hub right here in the Dallas area, supporting investment, business and professional growth in today's challenging technology markets."
The MTBC is the largest technology trade association in Texas, representing a quarter million employees through its 300 member companies. It is a key local resource which seeks to:
- Recognize the achievements of local high-tech companies and leaders and promote these achievements globally;
- Attract, grow and develop talent for high-tech companies in the region;
- Facilitate collaboration between entrepreneurs, corporations, investors and universities to generate critical mass for large scale innovation; and
- Support a public policy environment that is conducive to innovation, research, development and entrepreneurship.
Among other benefits, members can expect to be involved in making a difference in legislation that affects their companies; proactively engaging kids in science, technology, engineering and math; and participating in innovation sourcing initiatives which could produce new products and services for their company.
