The fifth in our series of posts that provides a look inside the MATsolutions accredited calibration and repair lab features the CC-14 Optical Comparator. We calibrate and repair over 25,000 assets annually in our 6,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art lab, which includes a full range of capabilities from test equipment, mechanical & physical/dimensional devices and tooling, and specialized measurements including humidity, temperature, and light. The CC-14 Optical Comparator is one more example of our most recent and advanced acquisitions being covered in this series, which also include:
CC-14 Optical Comparator
Overview: The CC-14 Optical Comparator includes three types of illuminators for precise image projection, automatic edge detection software, digital reporting capabilities, and built-in comparative standards features. This set of capabilities allows the comparator to make precision 2-D measurements which include single point location, distance (length and width), angles, and diameter and radius of holes, circles, and arcs.
Used for calibration of: Radius gages; spline gages; profile gages; rulers; gage balls; pins; and custom manufactured parts and tooling.
Importance of the CC-14 Optical Comparator in the MATsolutions lab: MATsolutions believes it’s important to have as broad a range of test & measurement, mechanical and physical/dimensional capabilities as possible under one roof, and we are continually growing and expanding our offerings. The CC-14 Optical Comparator is one such example, and allows us to provide our customers with:
